You can cruise from Vancouver to Hawaii in three ways: a round trip that comes back to Canada Place, a one-way trip that ends in Honolulu, or a longer one-way voyage that goes on from the islands to California. This guide compares the three, shows which lines and ships sail each, and covers sea days, ports and the flight home. The table at the end lists every Hawaii sailing on our schedule with today's fares.
This site is independent. It is not the Port of Vancouver, Canada Place or any cruise line, and it does not sell cruises.

Which cruises go from Vancouver to Hawaii?
Holland America, Princess, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Silversea sell them on our schedule. Holland America's Koningsdam and Princess's Crown Princess run the round trips. Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Silversea sell the one-way trips to Honolulu, compared ship by ship further down.
The cheapest Hawaii cruise from Vancouver on 4 November 2026 started at $905 per person, and the lowest fare per night was $83. The highest Hawaii fare on 4 November 2026 was $10,700. When we wrote this on 4 November 2026, that was Silversea's voyage. The Hawaii destination page lists the same sailings by month, line and ship.
Hawaii cruises from Vancouver, round trip
Holland America calls its round trip the 17-Day Circle Hawaii. The number counts nights. On Holland America's page for Koningsdam's sailing of 7 April 2027, read on 4 November 2026, the ship leaves Vancouver at 5:00 pm on 7 April and is back at 7:00 am on 24 April. Its release of 5 February 2026 says every Circle Hawaii of its 2027-2028 season calls at Nawiliwili on Kauai, Honolulu on Oahu, Kahului on Maui, and Kona and Hilo on the Big Island.
This was the day-by-day plan on Holland America's page for that April 2027 sailing:
| Day | Port | Times |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Vancouver | Leaves 5:00 pm |
| 2 to 6 | At sea | |
| 7 | Nawiliwili, Kauai | 8:00 am to 5:00 pm |
| 8 and 9 | Honolulu, Oahu, overnight | Arrives 8:00 am day 8, leaves 6:00 pm day 9 |
| 10 | Kona, Big Island (tender) | 8:00 am to 5:00 pm |
| 11 | Kahului, Maui | 8:00 am to 8:00 pm |
| 12 | Hilo, Big Island | 7:00 am to 1:00 pm |
| 13 to 17 | At sea | |
| 18 | Vancouver | Arrives 7:00 am |
That is 10 days at sea out of 17 nights, by our count from the page. Kona is a tender port, which the page marks with limited wheelchair access. Koningsdam's 17-night round trips on our schedule leave in April and October, from 7 April 2027 to 12 April 2028, and started at $2,359 on 4 November 2026.
Princess's round trip on our schedule is Crown Princess's 16-night Hawaii cruise of 23 September 2028, from $1,784. It calls at Hilo, Kona, Honolulu and Kauai. Princess said on 13 October 2026 that its 2028-2029 season brings back Hawaii round trips from Vancouver, and that every Hawaii voyage that season includes a late-night stay in Honolulu.
One-way cruises from Vancouver to Honolulu
On our schedule, 6 sailings leave Vancouver and end in Honolulu, between 9 September 2027 and 8 November 2027. They last 9 to 11 nights and started at $905 on 4 November 2026. A one-way trip is shorter than a round trip because you skip the five days back across the Pacific, but you then fly home from Honolulu.
| Ship | Line | Nights | Hawaii stops on our schedule | Lowest fare |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ovation of the Seas | Royal Caribbean | 9 | Kona, Napali Coast (scenic cruising) | $905 |
| Celebrity Edge | Celebrity | 9 | Hilo, after a call at Seattle | $1,094 |
| Anthem of the Seas | Royal Caribbean | 10 | Napali Coast (scenic cruising), Kona | $908 |
| Royal Princess | Princess | 10 | None before Honolulu, after a call at Los Angeles | $1,424 |
| Celebrity Solstice | Celebrity | 11 | Hilo, Kona | $1,236 |
| Silver Whisper | Silversea | 11 | Hilo, Kona, Kahului, Kauai | $10,700 |
On Celebrity's page for Celebrity Solstice's 11-night cruise from Vancouver to Honolulu, read on 4 November 2026, the ship spends five days at sea, calls at Hilo and Kailua Kona, has one more day at sea and ends in Honolulu. Royal Caribbean's pages for Anthem of the Seas' 10-night trip and Ovation of the Seas' 9-night trip both list five days at sea, then Kailua Kona and the Napali Coast, then Honolulu.
Royal Caribbean marks the Napali Coast as "Cruising", which means the ship sails along Kauai's coast and does not stop there. Our schedule lists those days as scenic cruising off the Napali Coast, so the Kauai count further down covers only the trips that call there.
Longer cruises from Vancouver by way of Hawaii
Crown Princess and Koningsdam each have a voyage that crosses to Hawaii and then carries on to California, so you fly home from there instead of from Honolulu.
- Crown Princess, 23 nights to Los Angeles. It leaves on 20 September 2027, sails down the coast by way of San Francisco, San Diego, Avalon and Los Angeles, then crosses to Hilo, Honolulu, Kahului and Kauai, calls at Ensenada in Mexico and ends in Los Angeles. On 4 November 2026 it started at $1,899, or $83 a night. When we wrote this on 4 November 2026, that was the lowest fare per night of any Hawaii trip from Vancouver.
- Koningsdam, 28 nights to San Diego. It leaves on 2 October 2027, the same day as her October Circle Hawaii, and our schedule lists it with all five Circle Hawaii stops, then San Diego, Mazatlan, Pichilingue and Cabo San Lucas before it ends in San Diego. Holland America's release lists Koningsdam's 11-day trip from Vancouver to San Diego by way of the Baja Peninsula leaving on 19 October 2027, the day our schedule has the October Circle Hawaii back in Vancouver. From $3,614 on 4 November 2026.
Royal Princess also passes through Hawaii on her way to the South Pacific. Our schedule lists her departure of 21 September 2027 at four lengths: 4 nights to Los Angeles, 10 nights to Honolulu, and 24 or 31 nights on to Auckland or Sydney by way of Honolulu, Kona, Papeete and Moorea. The repositioning guide and the South Pacific page cover the longer two.
When do Hawaii cruises leave Vancouver?
In spring and from September to November. On our schedule the first Hawaii sailing is Koningsdam's round trip of 7 April 2027, and the last is Crown Princess's round trip of 23 September 2028. The one-way trips to Honolulu all leave between 9 September 2027 and 8 November 2027.
The pattern follows the Alaska season. The same ships sail to Alaska from Vancouver through the summer, and Holland America's release says its 2027-2028 Hawaii, Mexico, Panama Canal and Pacific Coast sailings operate from October through April. The season guide shows what leaves Vancouver in each month, and the month pages for September 2027 and October 2027 list every sailing.
Which Hawaiian ports do cruises from Vancouver visit?
Hilo and Kona on the Big Island, Nawiliwili on Kauai, Kahului on Maui and Honolulu on Oahu. The counts below are sailings from Vancouver that stop there, including the South Pacific voyages that call at Honolulu and Kona. A trip that ends in Honolulu is not counted as a call there.
| Port | Island | Sailings that call there | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hilo | Big Island | 9 | |
| Kona | Big Island | 11 | A tender port on Holland America's page |
| Kauai | Kauai | 7 | Nawiliwili on Holland America's page; Royal Caribbean's trips sail past the Napali Coast without stopping, and are not counted here |
| Kahului | Maui | 6 | |
| Honolulu | Oahu | 8 | Overnight on Holland America's April 2027 Circle Hawaii; 6 more sailings end here |
How many sea days does a Hawaii cruise from Vancouver have?
Five days at sea before the first island, on every line's page we read. Holland America's Circle Hawaii of 7 April 2027 has five more on the way back, so 10 of its 17 nights are at sea. Celebrity's 11-night trip to Honolulu has six days at sea in all, and Royal Caribbean's 9- and 10-night trips list five.
A one-way trip has the same five days at sea on the way out and none on the way back, because you fly. For the most time on the islands, the 17-night round trip calls at all five ports and stays overnight in Honolulu. Celebrity Solstice's one-way trip stops at Hilo and Kona before Honolulu, and Royal Caribbean's stop at Kona.
Flying home from Honolulu after a cruise from Vancouver
A one-way trip ends in Honolulu, and you fly home from there. The Hawaii Department of Transportation says Honolulu Harbor has two cruise terminals: the main one at Pier 2, entered from the west end of Channel Street off Ala Moana Boulevard, and an alternate at Pier 11, on the north extension of Aloha Tower Drive. Check with your cruise line which one your ship uses.
Honolulu's airport is Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL), formerly Honolulu International Airport. For getting around, the Harbors Division page lists TheBus, Biki bike share, Hui car share, the LeaLea Trolley, Uber and Lyft, and TheCab, and the airport's page says the city's Skyline rail line has a station at the airport. Neither page gives a travel time from the harbor to the airport. Holland America's cruise page offers flights booked through the line.
Can a cruise from Vancouver end in Honolulu?
Yes, and 6 sailings on our schedule do. The US rule on carrying passengers between American ports is in the Code of Federal Regulations at 19 CFR 4.80a. It applies to ships that are not qualified for US coastwise trade, which it describes as foreign-flag ships and US-flag ships that were built abroad or once sailed under a foreign flag.
The rule sets out what such a ship may do with a passenger who boards at a US port. On a Hawaii cruise from Vancouver you board in Canada. Ask your cruise line if your plans involve joining or leaving the ship partway, for example boarding in Seattle on a trip that calls there.
What documents do you need for a Hawaii cruise from Vancouver?
You clear US customs before you board. The Port of Vancouver says passengers go through U.S. Customs and Border Protection at Canada Place after security screening, as the last step before boarding, because cruise ships are considered US jurisdiction. It also says international visitors need the right Canadian eTA or US ESTA before they arrive at the terminal.
The cruise documents guide covers passports, Canada's eTA and the US clearance at Canada Place. For the day you sail, see the Canada Place terminal guide, the YVR airport guide and hotels near Canada Place. On a round trip you come back to Canada Place, so the parking guide applies. On a one-way trip it does not.
What does a Hawaii cruise from Vancouver cost?
On 4 November 2026 the lowest fare on a Hawaii trip from Vancouver was $905 per person, and the lowest round-trip fare was $1,784. When we wrote this on 4 November 2026, the lowest was a one-way trip to Honolulu. The table at the top of this guide breaks the fares down by type of trip, and the table at the end lists every sailing.
Compare the per-night figures as well as the totals, and add the flight home from Honolulu to a one-way fare before you set it against a round trip, which brings you back to Vancouver. The cheap and last-minute guide covers what a starting fare on this site includes and what the lines add on board.
