Short cruises from Vancouver exist, but most of them do not come back. Of the trips under a week on our schedule, most are one-way trips down the coast in April, May, September and October, when ships move between the Alaska season and their winter routes. This guide sorts them by length, from the 1-night hop to Seattle up to 6 nights, and ends with the 7-night trips that most lines sell as their shortest Alaska round trip. The table at the end lists every sailing under a week with today's fares.
This site is independent. It is not the Port of Vancouver, Canada Place or any cruise line, and it does not sell cruises.

Are there 3-day cruises from Vancouver, BC?
Yes, but only one-way. When we wrote this on 4 November 2026, the only 3-night cruise on our schedule was Royal Princess's trip from Vancouver to Seattle by way of Victoria, which Princess sells as a 3-Day Pacific Coastal. On 4 November 2026 the 3-night trips started at $314 per person, the first on 28 April 2027.
Princess's page for that sailing, read on 4 November 2026, gives this plan:
| Day | Port | Times |
|---|---|---|
| Wednesday 28 April 2027 | Vancouver | Leaves 4:00 pm |
| Thursday 29 April | Victoria | 7:00 am to 9:00 pm |
| Friday 30 April | At sea | |
| Saturday 1 May | Seattle | Arrives 7:00 am |
Princess names its cruises in days, and the number counts nights. This 3-Day cruise has three nights on board and ends on the fourth morning. The trip ends in Seattle, so you need a way back to Vancouver or a flight home from there.
No 3-night round trip from Vancouver is on our schedule. If you want "3-4 day cruises from Vancouver" that come back to Canada Place, the closest are the 4-night Alaska round trips below.
What is the shortest cruise from Vancouver?
A 1-night hop to Seattle with no stops. When we wrote this on 4 November 2026, the 1-night trips on our schedule were Holland America's Eurodam on 23 April 2027, a Friday, and Norwegian Encore on 15 April 2028, a Saturday. Each leaves Vancouver one day and reaches Seattle the next, which is as close as Vancouver comes to a 2-day cruise.
They are cheap. On 4 November 2026 the lowest fare on our whole schedule was $109 per person, and when we wrote this that fare was Norwegian Encore's 1-night trip. Holland America's release of 5 February 2026 says its Pacific Coast season includes 1- to 7-day voyages, and Norwegian names its trip a repositioning cruise.
The Seattle guide covers travel between the two cities, which you need for the way back.
4-day cruises from Vancouver
On our schedule, 14 cruises from Vancouver last 4 nights, from 27 April 2027 to 1 October 2028. They come in two kinds.
One-way down the coast. Of these, 10 sail to Los Angeles or San Diego, most with no stop on the way, in May, September and October. Princess's mostly go to Los Angeles and Holland America's to San Diego, and Disney Magic and Disney Wonder each have a 4-night Pacific Coast trip to San Diego in September 2027. Princess and Holland America sell these as 4-Day cruises, and as with the 3-Day trip the number counts nights. On 4 November 2026 they started at $334, or $84 a night.
Alaska to Ketchikan. The 4-night Alaska trips, 4 on our schedule, call at Ketchikan and run from 27 April 2027 to 12 May 2028. Crown Princess's of 27 April 2027, Anthem of the Seas' of 7 May 2028 and Emerald Princess's in May 2028 are round trips back to Vancouver. Royal Princess's 4-night Alaska trip of April 2028 ends in Seattle. On 4 November 2026 these started at $419.
Those are the shortest cruises from Vancouver that bring you back to Canada Place. On our schedule the shortest round trip is 4 nights. The cruise length page groups every sailing by number of nights.
5-day cruises from Vancouver
On our schedule, 5 cruises last 5 nights, from 2 May 2027 to 18 September 2028, starting at $459 on 4 November 2026.
Most are one-way to California. Princess's 5-night trips end in Los Angeles after a call at San Diego, and Nieuw Amsterdam's ends in San Diego after a call at San Francisco. Holland America's release describes 4-, 5- and 6-day Pacific Coast trips between San Diego and Vancouver, and Princess said on 13 October 2026 that its 2028-2029 California Coast season includes departures from Vancouver of four to seven days.
The exception is Celebrity Solstice's 5-Night Alaska Experience of 2 May 2027, a round trip from $651. Celebrity's page lists the Inside Passage (cruising), Ketchikan, a day at sea and Victoria before the ship returns to Vancouver.
6-night cruises from Vancouver
On our schedule, 5 cruises last 6 nights, starting at $684 on 4 November 2026. These are the 6-night Alaska round trips:

The rest of Disney's sailings from Vancouver are Alaska trips of 7 nights or more, up to 8.
On 4 November 2026 Disney's fares from Vancouver started at $858. The Disney Cruise Line page lists every Disney sailing.
Is a 7-night cruise the shortest Alaska round trip from Vancouver?
For most lines, yes. Apart from the 4- to 6-night trips above, every Alaska round trip from Vancouver on our schedule lasts 7 nights or more. Holland America, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Disney all sell 7-night round trips from Vancouver, calling at Ketchikan and at Juneau, Skagway or Sitka, most with a day of scenic cruising at a glacier or fjord.
On our schedule, 476 cruises last 7 nights, from 24 April 2027 to 30 September 2028. Not all are round trips. Many 7-night trips are one-way north to Seward or Whittier, and a few are one-way down the coast. On 4 November 2026 the lowest 7-night fare was $594, and the lowest round-trip fare at any length was $419.
The Alaska cruises guide compares the 7-night routes, and the one-way Alaska guide covers the trips north to Seward and Whittier.
Are there weekend cruises from Vancouver?
Only the 1-night hops fit inside a weekend, and they are one-way. By the calendar, Eurodam's trip leaves on a Friday and reaches Seattle on Saturday, and Norwegian Encore's leaves on a Saturday and reaches Seattle on Sunday. Princess's 3-night trip leaves on a Wednesday and ends on Saturday morning.
Our weekend cruises page lists every sailing that leaves Vancouver on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, at every length.
How do you get home from a short one-way cruise from Vancouver?
From Seattle, by road, rail or air. The Seattle guide covers the options. From Los Angeles or San Diego you fly, so add the flight to the fare before you compare a short one-way trip with a round trip.
Two more things change on a one-way trip. You clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection at Canada Place before boarding, which the Port of Vancouver says is the last step before you board, and you do not come back to Canada Place, so a car parked there stays there. The cruise documents guide and the parking guide cover both, and the repositioning guide covers every one-way route from Vancouver.
Is a short cruise from Vancouver cheaper per night?
Sometimes. On 4 November 2026 the lowest fare per night on a trip under a week was $84, and on a 7-night trip $85. When we wrote this on 4 November 2026, the lowest per night under a week was a 4-night trip to Los Angeles with no stops.
The short Alaska round trips cost less in total but not per night. On 4 November 2026 the 4-night Alaska trips started at $419, or $105 a night, while the lowest fare per night on any round trip was $93. When we wrote this on 4 November 2026, that round trip was a 7-night Alaska cruise on Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas. The cheap and last-minute guide compares fares by route and month.
